Theoretical Max Battle Size in RTW Remastered is almost 55k. With the new Extreme unit size, the theoretical maximum battle size has increased. This is all assuming the maximum soldier count per unit is 300. (Previous max for a 40-man unit like hastati was 160, new max is apparently 200. So previous max for a 60-man unit like peasants was 240
Early Legionary Cohorts, like the rest of Rome’s standard legionary infantry, are armed with two pila and a sword. They have decent armor, as well as a much higher attack and morale than preceding Auxilia. Although generally good on the battlefield, Early Legionary Cohorts are also the beginning of a more expensive streak of soldiers.
I too can't wait to play in 144FPS with no huge framedrops when using flaming arrows/fast forward on a pc that could easily run 50 instances of Rome at once. I just think that the feel of the map is way too Civ 6-ish and since it's probably just a texture change I'd love it if there were am option to toggle.

If you mean you can't start Alexander/Barbarian Invasion at all. -> HOLD down your ctrl key while you click play on the Total War LAUNCHER. That will open the game selection / mod selection menue.
